Course approval
If you are a GLP-approved facility, you must submit your Class 7 or 8 driver training course for approval.
Delivering high-quality driver training requires ongoing effort. While Driver Training Industry Support (DTIS) reviews and approves course curriculum and delivery as part of the assessment process, they can always provide recommendations based on best practices to support you in continuously improving your training material and delivery.
Course agreement
As a school providing GLP approved-course training, you enter into a written agreement with ICBC to train drivers under this program. The written agreements outline program requirements and standards for eligibility as well as expectations for training. All terms outlined in these agreements must be strictly adhered to in order to maintain the approved course designation once given.
Your approved course expires on the same date as your driver training school licence. You must renew your driver training school licence and each approved course annually.
During your agreement period and upon renewal, you may be required to resubmit course materials or undergo evaluations.
