​​​​​​Registered and Licensed Practical Nurses

ICBC is second payer, or secondary to any other health coverage plan inclusive of MSP, for treatment provided by nurses. With pre-authorization, in some circumstances ICBC may fund nursing services.

Invoicing

Licensed Practical Nurses and Registered Nurses with an approved vendor number are part of the ICBC Recovery Network and may use the Health Care Provider Portal (HCPP) or the Health Care Provider Invoicing and Reporting (HCPIR) application to submit invoices​ directly to ICBC.

Invoices can also be submitted manually, following the guidelines on the invoicing and reporting page. Please ensure your invoice format adheres to ICBC guidelines, or, use our Health service provider invoice.

All invoices must include:

  • ICBC claim number

  • Date of accident

  • Payee name

  • Payee address

  • Patient name

ICBC cannot process payment if any of the above information is missing.

Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)

Up to $52

These rates apply for nursing services only and do not apply for nurses providing services such as homemaking or attendant care. Where an RN is providing services that can be completed by an LPN, the LPN rate must be billed.

Registered Nurses (RNs)

Up to $71

These rates apply for nursing services only and do not apply for nurses providing services such as homemaking or attendant care. Where an RN is providing services that can be completed by an LPN, the LPN rate must be billed.
