Investigations

Investigations may be conducted when a driver training school or instructor is suspected of not complying with all applicable rules, regulations or agreements.

Investigations may be triggered by:

  • The results of an audit or site visit

  • A history of non-compliance

  • Information or complaints from the public, driver training industry, law inforcement or ICBC

  • Proactive monitoring

How are investigations conducted?

A driver training investigator (DTI) gathers relevant information through interviews, records and other investigative tools.

What happens after?

Depending on the results of the investigation, you may face sanctions.
